The development team comprised of Kalel Companies and BRP Development was awarded the RFP to develop Cove Pointe at Bayfront, a new neighborhood on the West Side of Jersey City offering high-quality affordable and workforce housing, a charter school, parking and outdoor amenities for the site and surrounding community. The project will consist of 4 phases, which will ultimately include four 13-story, buildings, approximately 1.7M SF of mixed income and mixed-use development, and a total of 1,438 units, 35% of which will be dedicated as affordable. Other amenities will include a 50,000+ SF charter-school, superior amenities, retail space, outdoor park space, new street grid, and parking. The total project cost is approximately $900 million. 

The entire Bayfront Redevelopment Project is expected to bring over 8,000 units in subsequent phases, as well as retail, public park space, waterfront activities and a light rail station, giving access to The PATH train to Manhattan.
